A Bath In The New Bathroom

Momichan loves to take a bath rather than take a shower even if in the morning I do not have time to let her play, she likes her water toys, squeezes and fish shaped decorations, she shouts and laughs happily everytime. (in the fotos below you can see her fish shaped adhesifs she likes to move around on the walls).

Today also arrived the package containing the order I made to Hipp Germany 5 days ago, between all the creams, rice crackers and other items I bought for Momichan a special bathfoam with a special cap, you can use the soap as normal soap and also you can give the bottle to the child to play because the special cal is made to make bubbles !!! (^_^)

WOW is is really a wonderful idea, I have just bought it as experiment, is a new product but I guess next order I will make I will buy more of this bubble bottles, Momichan likes it very much and what funniest to make bubbles herself in the foam bath ?

What mothers do not say (book)

Recently I found in a store a little book I read in just two nights, telling about the adventure of a 27 year old girl discovering herself to be pregnant and the decision to keep the baby she later nicknames "Polpetta" and after "Porpi" (meatball).

The book is written in italian and the ideaq to write it comes from a blog of the author named "Ma Che, Davvero ?", that means "is it real ?" this sentence is exactly what the author says when she discovers to be pregnant).

All the book is the adventure of this 27 year old girl, Chiara, until now, everything she thinks, the relation with her daughter, her discoverings and thoughts about becoming mother all written in a funny way but exactly the truth about what reality is living with a baby and what normally mothers do not tell anybody (everytime you ask a mother about her child she will always tell her baby is a good one, he always sleep, eats and do everything the right way also when in relauty is not).

I adore this book and hope it can be translated into english or other languages so that many other can read it :)

Hello Kitty Bento Set For Momichan

Today Momichan and I were going around for the center of Milan with the bicycle.
At the moment the city is full of tourists coming from everywhere and nearly all the shops are open. There is also a little store selling Hello Kitty items, bags, bentos, pencils, jewels, everything, as I know Momichan is crazy about Kitty we went inside to see and she got crazy about everything she saw. She filled her arms with tool set, special cup, sunglasses, toothbrush, little fork and all she wanted to have, well I couldn't buy her everything but just some items she can use everyday and also we can take with us on vacation or just to eat ouside ^^

Here is the special cup we bought and the other foto is the tool set, we also bought a little bottle she can take around, perfect to drink on the bicycle whenever she wants ^^

In the last foto you can see Momichan this evening, eating her dinner before going to bed, she is wearing her pijama, Hello Kitty obviously :)

No Kitchen ...

We do not have any kitchen for the moment but we can eat in our space, well Momichan can have her dinner :)

soon we will take here some of the upper cabinets from the old house so that we will have possibility to organize our foods, dishes and more, space will be less but with or without the new wall to make the room bigger, we will have the new kitchen even if without normal gas (we would have to pay to make a big work to take gas here) at least we will have kitchen complete and for gas we will have a gas cilynder for cooking, oven, dishwasher and sink will be working, I will have possibility to wash Momichan bottles and we will also have trash WOW :)

Hello Kitty Pijama

Recently we are going around so much with the bike, Momichan and I, today we visited a store in the center of Milan and as there are low prices I found a cute pijama for Momi with a pink Hello Kitty on it.

Inside he shop Momichan seemed not to care about what I was buying for her but once at home things were different :) after her bath I put her new pijama on and, you can clearly see the effect from the foto :)))

Momichan And Hello Kitty Yukata

Today Momichan has chosen her dress from the wardrobe, the Hello Kitty yukata sent in february by her granny from Japan.
She loves it really, seems she gets crazy about Hello Kitty, everytime she sees somewhere she screams happily, and she is enthusiast of her red yukata ^^

Life Is A Bed Of Roses ...

Hello again ^^

we have moved and we live now in the new house, well in the upper floor of my mother's home.

Well ... title say "life is a bed of roses" but infact is exactly the contrary. Everything has gone bad, we had so many programs but everything has failed, space is really not enough, my furniture is too big and things we need are too many and we cannot find space for all. Also money we expected will never arrive and we are completely submerged by debits, house we wanted to enlarge will remain little as it is now, we cannot pay, I cannot find a job until baby Momichan will be accepted into kindergarden in september but is not sure because now she is only the second in the waiting list, nobody can take care of her and I cannot work if i have to care about her. Momichan daddy is working hard in two different places to earn the money we need but he is getting tired and he earns less than we need !!! @@@@ !!!

Momichan is nervous and do not recognize here as "home" she behaves strange, she gets nerves often, cryes, she is really terrible, we are completely "down".

We do not have any idea when we will have again a house that wee can call really HOUSE with kitchen, bedroom, sofa, bathroom and everything we need even if little, i guess this is the most horrible period in our life.

This is the little bedroom, now Momichan uses it in exclusive until next february when we will have possibility to build the new wall and add our bed and another piece ow wardrobe ^^

This evening while daddy was looking tv she took his shoes and started to walk around inside home going to granny in the kitchen to show herself ^^

Our New House ^^

Since a couple of days we are living in my mum's home ^^
Today we finished the moving and right now nearly everything is organized, we still have many things to take from the old house and also we do not have the kitchen even if we have our fridge and here the little space we have, starts to be like a real house even if it's only 35 meters for the moment (new wall to enlarge up to 45 meters will be build next january).
Even if we do not have space we have and will have two things important: two big windows with sight on the garden, park, water and green and the sound of birds, crickets, the tapping of the rain on the roof when it is bad weather and the wind moving the leaves of the trees.

Momichan seems relaxed now, she has been a veeery gooood child yesterday and today and she sleeps very quietly all night long without awakening three times as she was doing since ever in the old house ^^

Crazy Momichan

We are finally moving !!!!
Today I had to leave for half an hour Momichan with granny because I had to go home to take some other stuff, thought that in the meantime granny would give her lunch.

I arrive granny's home and hear Momichan screaming desperately so I run inside and ask mommy why she is so desperate, she answers Momichan is just nasty and that she has tried everything but Momichan has refused to eat or drink anything !!!
The rest of the day is not better, I have to organize inside wardrobe the things and dresses I have taken from home and Momichan does not want to leave me and screams with tears.

I in the evening is the same, after meal I take her up in the bedroom to sleep, I had previously bathed her, changed nappy and put pijama, Momichan does not want to sleep even if she is tired and seems sleepy.

I get angry, also I have to put her bed again with the two removable bed sides (I had taken away one of the two because it seemed Momichan was big enough to climb up alone also in the previous camping bed she climbed out by herself so I thought it was better to help so that she could come out without danger but is doesn't work) because Momichan continuously gets out and is impossible to do anything I still have to eat and have to go go down laundry. She is so angry or desperate (we cannot understand really what she has) that she throughws up the dinner and the milk she had just sipped .... ! We have to do again shower and change completely !

I put her to bed again and she starts again to scream desperately !!!
I go down to eat and she goes on .... I go and take the fresh laundry and put another on to retire tomorrow morning, Momichan is still crying .... !!! GOSH !!! What the hell she has ????
Is it possible she is confused or worried because we are moving ? she still has so many of her things here, her dresses inside wardrobe and her toys, her favourite chair and little pelouche cat, but she seems not to carry, I make everything possible to make her feel home, and also we have been here thousands of times, she loves granny, so why she behaves like that ?

It's one o clock in the morning, daddy is coming home now from work and Momichan finally has fallen asleep.
Tomorrow I will go to the doctor and tell everything hope she can give something to keep Momichan calm, tomorrow we have to go Ikea to take the minivan nand go home to carry away the furniture we need to take here, Momichan will have to stay with granny for much of the afternoon and I do not have any idea what she will do ....

Italy Koi Show 2010

Momichan is now international HEHE :)
The 6th june in Italy at my mum's home Italian Koi Meeting has been held.
And what does this have to do, you may say, with Momoko ?
well, we were there to take mum and go to the park for a pic nic and after in the afternoon we returned to make Momichan take her nap.
The garden was full of people, italian clients and judges arrived from Belgium to prize the best italian koi and ten pools full of koi belonging to clients. Little Momichan escaped from us and went to see the fishes, she loves the fishes :) while judges were taking fotos of the event.

camping bed for Momo

Momichan everyday invent something, she is growing fast and she is curious.
As you know, we are moving in my mum's house now, bathroom is nearly finished and is already working, I already cleaned and filled with some of our belongings.

The bricklayer had to come today early in the morning to finish his work on the wall so it was best for us to sleep there to be there on time at 8.30 (impossible if were at our normal home).

In the afternoon around two o c'lock as everyday I tried to put Momichan to bed in the bedroom upstairs for the nap and Momichan as everyday since nearly one month, did not agree to rest.

I went downstairs hoping she would fall asleep shortly, in the bathroom upstairs the bricklayer was finishing to put white PIASTRELLE on the wall, all of a sudden we (my mum and I were in the livingroom) heard the sound of little nude feet running around and the volice of the bricklayer calling me ! I go upstairs and see Momichan smiling running everywere !

HEY WAIT !!! I am sure I put her to bed, in her usual camping bed (bought last summer to go to the mountains) why is she running everywhere ? I take Momichan and put to bed again, she calm a little, grabs her comforter and turns to one side, I go down again.
neither five minutes time have passed, again we hear her tiny feet running upstairs !!!

I do not have any idea how she does but she is able to come outside her camping bed, you see from the foto I took last summer, is quite deep but she comes outside.
The only solution to prevent her from falling badly and aching trying to get out is to buy a new crib wich has the possibility to remove one bed side so that she can easily climb into/out of the bed (the one which Momichan uses home is a Sniglar Ikea bed which unfortunately has no removable bed side) so we went straight to Ikea to buy the Hermellin coloured red :) and also a guard rail; once home I put it togather to show Momichan how to use and she seems to love but we will see next days anyway I noticed she has learnt something new: she can easily sleep in her new bedroom alone without any problem !

I mean, as you probably know we are moving to my mum's house in the upper floor where there are two bedrooms and a bathroom, surrounded in two sides by a balcony, it was where my sister and I lived when we were children, now we are transforming and enlarging including one of the two sides of the balcony so as to enlarge the two bedroom, in this way my big room becomes bigger to contain living room, kitchen and dining table, the smaller bedroom (my sista's) becomes larger so as to contain a 3 meter large wardrobe, our 140x200 cm bed, drawer chest and Momi's crib for a total of 45 square meters in total, bathroom included.

To enlarge and have the new wall we have to wait for the permissions until november so for the moment the smaller room is just big enough for a 2 meter large wardrobe, drawer chest and Momi's crib, we do not have any space to sleep both with her neither on the floor and anyway is not so comfortable to sleep for six months on the floor using just sleeping bag ..... too hard :)

Finally after five months waiting we have the new bathroom, furnished and perfectly working.

Plumber has finished his work but the wall is still to be repaired, there is a hole because of the tube for water taken to our future kitchen but the bricklayer will come only on monday morning. We have already have had possibility to use the new bathroom, everything is working perfectly and new bathtub is wonderful.

Today I went to Ikea to buy new accessories for the shower like the shower curtain, shower curtain rod and the rings to hang it.

In the corner right to the wc where I put the changing table, I want to hang a mobile and if I can also some little mirrors so that eventually Momichan will stay calm when I dress her ^^ In a few days we will hang four cabinets to organize towels, medicines, baby items and some other things, just the time to move and take the cabinets from the old home.

I also bought some flowers to display outside the window, I have a sunflower and a special lavender that has a special smell like lemon. I have also put order inside the sink closet, bought some plastic boxes to organize cleaning products, soaps recharges, towels and so on, the result is a happy coloured cabinet ^^

Momichan seems to love it, I imagine that when we will move all the furniture we need for bedroom, kitchen and is still confused about this new bathroom but she living room she will feel more "home" ^^

Who is Riko you will say ?
Well, she the sister of Ryuki 琉絆 our nephew and Momoko's cousin, finally another baby girl in the family !
Unfortunately we cannot fly to Japan now to meet her personally but we will organize a travel as soon as possible, guess we will meet again when Momoko and Ryuki will learn to speak and will be big enough to make a travel so long (Milano-Amsterdam-Tokyo-Shizuoka 31 hours), anyway meantime we will receive many photos of both brothers and we will see them grow.
WOW we are now aunt and uncle now :) what an emotion !

New Bathroom ...

Finally after many sacrifices we got permission to renew the bathroom of the upper floor of mum's house, this bathroom is more than 40 years old !

Today there were two men working inside, they took away the shower and put the new bathtub, bought on purpose for Momichan, tomorrow they will go on with the restyling changing wc, taking away bidet, creating connections for the washing mashine and the new kitchen ont the other side of the wall.
At the moment our old bathroom looks like this but in a few days we will put Ikea furniture and will decorate so that it will become very pretty and comfortable for little Momichan (she fears the shower and loves the bathtub), we cannot wait to see ^^
Momichan was staring at the works smiling at the bathtub, powder and pieces of wall were everywhere so I took her away to play ^^

Bento For Momichan

Momichan is now one year and a half so she is able to eat by herself with spoon or fork, she can also drink from every glass or bottle using a straw and she amuses so much in discovering the new things she can do.
As it is so hot now, days are long and light goes away after nine o clock we are often in the park or in granny's house and to be sure Momichan is eating correctly (granny uses a little too much butter) I prepared this lunch: pennette with ragout (beaf meat with onion, carrots and celery) and a little basket of blackberries she seems to get crazy about in this period.
The bottle is full of fruit tea with addition of vitamin C.

Going Around With Mum

After the nap Momichan and I go out for a walk.
Today I am lucky, she was tired enough to take her usual nap, recently she doesn't want to sleep in the afternoon.
Temperature is around 28 degrees, Momichan is dressed light and she wears her orange sandals shoes, she always want to wear them guess she likes so much but I think is the worst purchase ever because they are so long and narrow.

Before going out she takes her Barbapapà sac and a speaking game.
(in Japan the cartoon series Barbapapà has a great success, バーバパパ 世界をまわる, Baabapapa sekai wo mawaru).

As it is so hot we go to a coffee shop to buy some ice cream and as you see from the fotos Momichan is enthuisiastic at the idea of going to take some ice even if when she has the ice in her hands she makes strange a nd funny faces and starts to eat.

After she has finished her ice cream we decide to go to the park, in this moment there are not so many children so Momichan can go everywhere she wants without waiting her turn and she amuses so much.

Knees ...

Momichan is running fast now but she is still not really good so sometimes she puts feet in the wrong way and she falls down. As theese days seems summer is finally coming and during the day is really hot, she wears fresh summer dresses that are short and leave her legs nude, the result is that if she fall down she scratches her knees, now Momichan has her first marks on both knees ^^

Full Day ....

Hello ^^
As you know we are starting to organize the moving to my mum's house but we have to face some problems, make some shopping for the new house and arrange everything.
This morning we had to go granny's house because our new bathtub was arriving, in the bathroom there is a shower now but we have to change to be more confortable, (first foto you can see Momichan at the departure from home this morning, second foto, she is walking in the street in front of granny's house). While waiting for the bathtub to be consigned we took some measurements for furniture and accessories and we discovered that our washmashine does not enter in the bathroom because the door is too narrow ........... ARRRGGGGHHH ! door is large 55 cm and washmashine is 59 !!!!! ......... we have to buy a new washmashine no other solution ..........

Weather is so hot today so I took with us some dress changes for Momichan so that she can play in granny's garden in absolut comfort.

After the bathtub has arrived, we prepare lunch and Momichan plays in the garden with daddy. After lunch daddy will go to work and Momi and I will go around for info-shopping, we have to go search a new washmashine, we need a wash and dryer one alltogather in less than 55 cm of space, there is a electronic store near us, mum says she has seen an announce on a publicity sheet about exactly the type we could buy, so we go there and after we have to go Ikea store to search for other items, check prices of ovens, fridge to be stored in a cabinet and microwaves. Momichan will play around in the kids corner as always and we will have a yummy snack :)

After our info-shopping we come back granny's house, it is still sunny althought is nearly seven thirty, Momichan can play in the garden a little while before returning home and I can have some rest, I am totally exausted while Momichan is full of energies :) but she has not take the nap as usual so she will be tired soon. Incredibly temperature is still around 30 degrees. Momichan is jumping here and there, running everywhere and playing with her cups and tools pretending to cook for an immaginary friend. The grass in the garden has been cut and she seems lo like as the garden look like now.

There is still light but already is eight o'clock so Momichan and I have to go home to prepare dinner, if everything goes the right way without too many bad sourprises, in less than one month we could be there and for dinner time I would just climb up the ladder to go .... home while my mum prepares dinner I would wash my baby and prepare for sleep ^^

Small Lady ...

Last week Momichn ad I went to the weekly outside market along the street at the center of the town, I discovered Momi likes it, she looks at the fruits and veggies of various colours and smells, she looks at the dresses and flowers, she gets crazy for the fishes and the seeds, she amuses herself so much ever :)

There was a man selling shirts and special scarves, I bought two, one azure flowered for me and one lilac for Momi. The scarf is strange, made of a transparent soft and thin piece of cotton, lilac in colour with flowers, I can transform it for my baby in whatever I want, scarf, tiny dress, turban, depends from my fantasy :)
The day I bought I wrapped a kind of hat on Momichan's head and she loved it, this time I just hanged it on her shoulders same way you can do when you are dressed to go out for a dance night in an elegant place and Momichan seems an elegant tiny lady :)

A Special Day, Corn Powder, Box And Fun ...

Today Momichan is exactly 18 months old, 1 year and a half ! YEEEEEEEEE

As it is a special day I decided to take her to the chinese restaurant, Momichan smiled happi8ly at the idea. I ordered some white rice, meat grilled gyoza, chicken with bamboo and mushrooms, chinese spaguetti with veggies and Momichan eated everything, chicken was tender and tasty, she loves white rice and the interior of gyoza, she just eats the filling HEHE, we used only chopsticks she is enchanted by sticks :)

After the meal I ordered a coffee for me and for her I cleaned her bottle from the rest of the juice that was still inside and made it be filled with milk (hoping she would take a nap after in her stroller but no, she was too enthusiastic by the sunny day ..... ).

We went to the park for a while and she amused herself so much then we went to my mum and I organized a new game for Momi. I had bought some days ago a transparent plastic box, 80 cm large and just 20 cm high, filled it with corn flour and some cups and put Momichan inside.

She went crazy, started to touch the flour and play with the cups pouring it everywhere smiling, then I told her that when people go to seaside they walk on the shore, shore is made of sand and has a different colour from the flour but mostly feeling is the same walking on it if sand is thin so I took her the shoes away and left her bare feet to let her walk over the flour, she amused so much and started to walk inside the box feeling the sensation of the bare feet of the flour, she was so funny ^^

then started to walk on the fresh grass of the garden shouting happily for the strange effect then she started to run around enthusiastic ^^

We played hide and seek and played with the soccer ball, ran everywhere in the garden and played with the flour. There was still light but it was already 19.40 so we said hallo to granny and we started to return home.
Momichan runned everywhere, seemed not tired at all but I knew she was because since a couple of week she is refusing to take the usual nap after lunch. As soon as we got home I prepared her dinner and she started to become a little nervous, she was tired :) I showered her, put a fresh nappie and pijama, gave her milk and put her to bed. I gave her her pelouche cat to hug, covered her with a soft blanket and gave her a kiss then went to make shower, just the time to wash and get dried, entering the bedroom and getting near her bed to see the has deeply fallen asleep exactly in the same position I left her a few minutes before :)
She is so sweet :)

New Kitchen Ikea ....

Ikea - Momichan is happily playing in a little representation of a tiny house, more or less the space we will have in short time, she loves this little space, for her is like a llittle doll house for her.
There is a living room-kitchen, an entrance, a bedroom and a bathroom

As you probably know, we are trying to move in a new house, my mum's house, upper floor, she doesn not uses it and she lives alone.
Things are going slow beacuse we need so many permissions and this takes time, for this reason we will have the possibility to enlarge the little house and have the kitchen only in october, that means we will stay all the summer without it but anyhow we are making plans on how it will be.
I decided, as the kitchen will be on a corner of the living room and will be only 3 meters long plus a little 90 cm, that it will be composed by 5 blocks of 60 cm plus a corner piece of 90 cm and the fridge, colour will be dark brown solid pine and except for a pair of particular, more or less our kitchen will be like this one :)

On the extreme left side they inserted a fridge, we will have the washmashine, fridge will be on the right side after the oven and between oven and fridge there will be a corner base cabinet with carousel for pots and pans.

All the upper cabinets will be 60 x 90cm except the one over the gas cooktop which will measure 60 x 70cm to hook the exaust hood and again the cabinet on the right side will be a corner one with carousel inside.

We will provide each drawer with protections for kids so as not to let Momichan open them by chance or purpose and other protections will be attached to the other doors. I will let the corner cabinet without so that Momichan will have possibility to look inside, our pots and pans are not dangerous and are similar to the ones she has to play :) she loves to look inside cabinets and help me emptying the wasmashine.

Rain Boots ...

In Milan is continuously raining so the best thing is to buy a pair of rain boots for Momichan, we do not have but is not a problem, for Momichan having feet dry and not submnerged by water is more important so we went to a superstore yesterday and bought the cutest pink water drop decorated pair of little gum rain boot :)

When Momichan saw them smiled happily and today she put on to go out as time was not so nice.
