electronic toys

Momichan likes many different charachter, some of them comes from cartoons on tv and some other comes from books, Smurfs, Hello Kitty, Winnie Pooh, Peppa Pig, Pimpa, Barbapapa and she is developing a love for digital items that looks like the ones adult use, like for example our computer and our digicamera she wants to use everytime we go out.

There is acute computer kid for 3-5 years old of the character Winnie Pooh, it speaks with the real voice of Pooh and gives the possibility to learn numbers, letters, hear music, logic games, improves memory and about 30 activities, it also has a "mouse" like the adults pc :-)
It is cute and nice to use at home on the sofa but I guess Momichan would call me every second saying "mommy can you help me ...?" I would like something she can use all by herself in fully authonomy, but I guess I am still a little confused about what type Momichan can use.

I have always said I do not like electronic toys but I do not intend theese kind of games, computer kids have many different levels and can easily be used for long time and not left in a corner and forgotten. I discovered that theese ones are really helpful, they teach a little english, numbers, letters, shapes and more so to help Momichan grow we have thought to give her as a X'Mas present something like this Barbapapa station or some of the other computer kids we saw at Toys Center.
More or less this kind of computer kids are all the same, it just changes the appearance, the colour and the number of application and games they contain depending on the age of the kid, from 20 to 45 application of logic, games, language and more. One of theese from Clementoni for example is really fantastic, is a little station not so big, something quite little and handy you can put

inside a rucksac and take out everywhere, inside a coffee shop, on the sofa at home or inside the car while you travel, it teaches the kid to write letters, learn alphabet and numbers and so much

more but the best thing is that if you want to change game you just need to change "cartridge" and you have new games and adventures. The negative aspect is that the cost seems to be very high, double than the other toys.

Speaking of digital cameras I discovered one quite cute decorated Hello Kitty. No idea about the price, the website Clementoni does not give even the slighest idea. It makes foto like normal cameras, has a memory card and a program that gives the possibility to personalize the images taken, I guess if Momichan would see, she would make me crazy until I buy :-) but we will have to think at this one as present for another moment maybe next future not now.

hello kitty food !

I had read about limited hello kitty corn flakes and I had also written to Sanrio to know if it was possible to have or buy somewhere but seemed impossible, this morning we were at the supermarket and we found ! also they were selling hello kitty salad, non something special but anyway it was the cheaper salad in the shop, the same type of salad I always buy at home but not in a hello kitty envelope so here it is.

I have to look better around because there also may be hello kitty fruit juice, I know seems stupid but Momichan loves hello kitty and can be a good idea to make her eat some foods that normally she vould discard and the juice bottle I can always give a wash and reuse filled with another juice ^^

Hello Kitty Shaped Pasta

Some time ago for the Japan Italy fair we found a company called MI FOOD SRL who has a branch in Milan and another in Hong Kong and sell Hello Kitty food products. The stupid thing is that they do not sell anything in Italy, just abroad and Milan is my city !!! on the catalogue seemed there was a shop or something but when I called them they confirmed they do not sell anything here !!!

My baby Momichan is totally crazy about Hello Kitty and we wanted so much to buy some Kitty shaped pasta for her, but when we realize it was not possible we stay very bad and my baby who a few moments earlier was looking at the Kitty food cataloge, started to weep and say I am a bad mum because cannot buy her Kitty pasta !

Well, maybe I am stupid but tears cameto my eyes and I felt so angry with that italian society !!! what the hell are they distributing catalogues so that people like us thinks it can be possible to have and on the contrary it is not ???? GRRRRR

Today I wrote to the Hong Kong branch and ask if they can, we will see what they will answer me by email ^_^

Hello Kitty bento box

Recently I found on an italian site a million items of Hello Kitty including this cute bento box and bottle.
Do not know how much big it is but super is the bottle can be stacked on the cover, don't you find is supercute ? ^_^

Happy 23 Months Old Momichan !!!

Today Momichan is 23 months old, next months she will be 2 years old.

As it's a particular period wee decided to give her a special present and as I know she loves Hello Kitty, yesterday while she was sleeping I went to supermarket to search something and found three boxes of little Kitty Toys.

I gave her the present this morning and she started to play. It is a sunny day today, air is cold but fresh and clean, we have appointment with the doctor at 6.00 PM for a check so we have possibility to get out a while after a long week inside home, guess she will like so much; I will dress her confortably and hot, put her inside stroller with her sack and we will take a little fresh air.

Hello Kitty Berret

During theese days we are exchanging presents and little baby items with a collegue of Momichan's father who is expecting a baby for december. I had many old things belonging to Momichan that she cannot use or wear anymore some of which even new so I packed and gave to theese guys :) in exchange they gave us some little items of Hello Kitty bought on purpose for Momi knowing she is crazy about so this morning I gave her her new pink berret that made her have a big smile, inside the small packet there were also a set of Kity hair pins which I will gave her later (if I gave her this morning she would have made me crazy trying to put them in the hair all the time and we would have mised the bus for kindergarden :)

Momi's Bento Box

Today we had to go ChinaTown to buy some japanese foods we can find only there.

We were walking around and we were curiosing around inside the shops to see if there were some novelties.

In one of our preferred stores where usually we buy edamame, I found a new bento box, inside the shop they had the same bento in three different measures: one, two and three tier.

I bought the smaller one but I was thinking whenever I will go next week by bicycle with Momi to buy another one bigger.

I will use this one for Momi to take around her snacks and future bento I will prepare her as soon as wse will have the new kitchen at home, cannot wait to have my new kitchen ^^

Here is the new bento box, light brown decorated by flowers, very cute, name is written in japanese and is correct even if the bento is made in China, shape is round and I have to say it is a big box for a baby 2 years old.

I can use it also for my future work thanks to the two handles I do not need to use a bag to carry it, I can use for Momi to take food or snacks when we go to the park or if we go on trip somewhere, I can also put some ice cubes on the bottom inside a plastic bag to keep food fresh ^^
We also visited Kathay and we bought some noodles, green tea mochi and three bowles for rice, green decorated by sakura flowers, they were discounted, we thought they will be very useful for rice, spaguetti, sweets and whatever we will want to cook and serve on the table. Momichan also found some Hello Kitty hair pins and obviously we were forced to buy :)) you can see in the foto she is wearing one ^^

Going Seaside ..... :) (SECOND PART, EVENING)

After having showered and dressed, we go to the shore bar to have a coffee and give Momi her juice. I have to finish dress her so she can look around while I put cream on her and dress her.

Now we have to find an hotel for the night before going dinner.
We are lucky and we find one just crossed the street, hotel is not five star but we just need a comfortable and clean room where to rest and possibly a small camping bed for the baby, they have :)

We register, give the documents and go out again to search a place to eat.

There is a restaurant with children menu called Betulla that is quite cheap :) and also has ikea highchair, fantastic for Momi who can seat comfortably at the table with us ^^

While waiting for the dinner we chat and play, look around, Momi is really happy but tired, anyway she behaves well.

Waiter comes with water so I can fill Momi's bottle and give her to drink.

Momichan is really hungry and eat everything I give her, pasta with tomato sauce, veggies and a yummy cotoletta ^^

After dinner we take a walk along the sea, there is music everywhere, people dancing, fair with little train for kids and games you can put coins inside and make move, many people have markets and display on a long line of tables many types of merchandise: bags, jewels, vintage dresses, glasses, toys, foods ... we are curios and Momi too, take a look at everything and also go on the kid train.

Is late now, Momi has to sleep so we go to the hotel. Problem is we had not take anything for the night so we do not have any pijamas or toothpaste, deodorant ... we will have to buy tomorrow morning but luckily I have nappies for Momi and another change of dress.

As soon as we arrive in the room I organize for the night, shower Momi and put her a clean nappy. While she is on our bed with daddy I wash all her clothes and put outside to dry.
Momichan is electric, crazy, happy, she jumps on the bed, everything is a novelty for her and she doesn want to sleep even if she needs ....

We leave her play another little while we also shower and prepare to go sleep. I put her in her camping bed with her Hello Kitty and grey cat I had taken from home (she always sleeps with the gray cat) and give her her dummy.

After 15 minutes she falls asleep. She is so cute inside the small bed wearing just the nappy hugging the pelouche .... dream little Momichan, tomorrow will be another great day !

Going Seaside ..... :)

This summer during vacation period as we cannot go really vacation we have decided to have a day at seaside and take Momichan to bath in the sea.

With a rented car we just have to do something like 250 kilometers and we find Finale Ligure a small town directly on the seaside. Momichan is happy even if she doesn't understand really what she will see, everything will be a sourprise. During the travel we stop to eat at an Autogrill restaurant along the highway and we find a pelouche of Hello Kitty .... we have to buy to Momi :)

Finally we reach the seaside town and we start to search for a parking. Momi starts to understand something and is excited, looks everywhere and wants to run but we have to take our belongings and she has to wait a little :)

We have to find a place where to stay so we start to ask at every private "bagno" if they have place.

In Italy in Liguria and along the coasts there are very few public shoeres, most of them are private and are called "bagni", you pay a small sum of money and you can have your place with umbrella, beds, services like coffee shop, a place where to change dresses and showers, eventually rent small boats or something.

We find a "bagno" which can give us two places without big umbrella directly near the sea.
WOW, we take out toys and towels and Momichan can have her first sea bath ...
She is enthusiastic, starts to move legs and feet, shouts happily, smiles, she is crazy about that novelty, she is so sweet :)
After a while we get out of water and we sit on the shore line, Momi plays with the sand, strange thing the sand, humid fresh, made of micro pebbles among wich you can find many treasures .... we fill an entire water bottle of varios little stones and pices of green, white, blue pices of glass all made round by rolling thousand times inside sea, thees stones are like emeralds and brilliants and Momi loves them and is happy to collect :)
Is already six o'clock ... what should we do ? going home Milan again ? Momichan is so happy about the sea ... we have an idea, we can search for an hotel here and go home tomorrow ^^
We tell Momichan and she start to jump for happiness !

We go to the showers, we have to clean, dress and find someplace to eat ....

Hello Kitty Ice Cream

This afternoon we took the bicicles and went supermarket to buy something for dinner. Inside the freezer of the supermarket I found a box of Hello Kitty ice cream .... (foto of the ice cream you can see over here) you can obviously understand Momichan went crazy completely ! she embraced the box and runned away happily shouting with a smile starting from one ear and finishing near the other but you probably know, with babies is difficult to understand if they want something because they really want it and understand what it is, or if it is just because in this case, it was related to Hello Kitty which Momichan loves.

Unespectedly instead Momichan has perfectly understood that this box contains ice creams and she wanted to eat (luckily theese ice creams are little, the perfect size for a baby of 2 years old).
As soon as we came home and we finished dinner I opened the box and gave Momichan her ice cream, she was waiting for it since we came home and I put the box inside the fridge.
Well you can clearly see she is eating entire ice cream, she finished it all !!!

I just could not believe ! my baby was eating an entire ice cream and she was neither getting dirty about ice cream all over dresses and arms HEHEHE

Chinese Restaurant

Momichan daddy is at home so we decide to go eating at chinese restaurant.

He is home just monday entire day and sunday until three so in theese occasion we try to stay all togather and do something cute or go to restaurant for a quick lunch or dinner if we have possibility.
In our little town there is a chinese restaurant that is really good and cheap, with the same price you can only eat by McDonald's but here you can eat ten thousand times better ^^

Weather is strange so I make Momichan wear a sweater ensemble and her old tshirt on which I have just ironed a special Hello Kitty patch ... you can clearly see, no need to say anything :)

Inside the restaurant we order different dishes and Momichan tastes everything, she literally eated much and as ever she was really a good child, is such a pleasure to go restaurant sometimes with her because she never makes problems.
