Since a few days at the local supermarket is sold a strange carrot, his colour is deep violet !!! The price is the same as normal carrots and flavour also is the same, exactly same carrot except for the colour. I bought some the other day to make a violet soup for Momichan and decorated with violet stars, she smiled happily at the strange meal and eated everything WOW !
The most odd thing however is what I read about theese carrots: it is not a special variety or something genetically modified, theese dark violet carrots are completely natural, the genetically modified are the "normal" range ones we eat everyday !!! :-O

The only difference between the two carrots is that the orange one contains betacarotene and can help to give us the cute golden brown colour we love so much in the summer, the violet ones instead contain some antioxidation to fight the passing of time.
