zoo park Le Cornelle

This morning we got up at 10.00 AM and decided to make a visit at a zoo park. We have already gone a couple of weeks ago to the Safari Park but as Momichan loves the animals I thought visiting another one, could be a good idea and anyway we are home and we do not have much to do, the town is empty already, shop are closed for holidays (even our preferred coffe shop) and the town playground is dirty, hot and deserted, too hot to go and nobody to play with.
While Momochan played a little in the living room I prepared eating: two bento boxes and our little freezing bag, water bottle 1,5 lt, a little change of dress for Momo just in case, a packet of wet tissues.
Inside bento I put some mixed rice, carrot sticks, a hard boiled egg and 4 ikea meatballs plus two fruit juices and a drinkable yogurt for Momo :)
I thought it was bes to take the light stroller, I can put everything on it and in case Momo becomes tired she can sit on and I can move around the park quickly.
And here we go, in an hour time we are ready to enter the zoo, the parking in front contains all the visitors car, we take all our things and strolley and we quickly direct to the ticket place, day is hot but not so much :)
At the entrance the first thing we see is little turtles and many birds, Ara parrots, in many different colours, green, blue and red, plus white cacatoa gives us the "good day" making funny sounds :)
After parrots we see a special big Tibethan red cow with long enormous horns, some lamas, camels and deers, Momochan is already enchanted and looks everything carefoully.
In the nearby there is a special tropical umid zone with giant turtles inside, tropical plants and flowers and a beautiful little water cascade.
There are eight turtles so big that could easily carry around a child like Momo without even notice, their shell is enormous, more than a meter long !
We get outside, the place is wonderful but humidity makes us difficult to breath, outside there are some monkeys and the playground area with merry-go-round.
Differently from the other zoo we went, here the playgroud area have to be payed so to go on the merry go round I have to pay 1,50 Euro and give Momo her ticket saying she can just do one turn because surely afterward she will want an ice cream and we cannot spend too much money.
Before eating time we have some more animals to see, in the nearby there are a lot of cranes, taller than Momo and with different colours and shapes, some taller some other smaller :)
Another animal we haven't saw in the other park is the brown bear, in their space there are three quite big and a nice resin and wood smell comes from it, the place is down from where people stay, there is a kind of bridge and the bears are down, they have a cave, trees, a little lake and many wood pieces and rocks.
Another zone we can acceed only by a special door, the place is very big and contains birds, a kind of strange monkey living on a big isle in the middle of the space, crocodiles (three meters long), flamingos, red ibis birds and many others wich I do not know the names and there are also small cascades wich gives some freshness around.
Is already nearly lunch time so we have to search for a pic nic area to eat, there is one on the way for the lions and there are also sliders and plays; Momo is happy because she can eat and after, while I take a coffee at nearby coffee shop, play a little on the balances, sliders and castle :)
Before arriving at the pic-nic area there is the little penguin pool and a playground zone with sliders, balances and castle, litter, pic-nic tables and coffee shop.
Penguins are funny but people look at the pool not really looking the penguins but imagining what it would like if they would be inside the fresh water, temperature now is quite hot and the birds are refreshing so much jumping and swimming inside their pool :)
We are really hungry so we sit at the tables and open our bento box, Momo wants to eat quick because she want to go playing on the sliders and balances :)
People around sit and chat, some are staying at the coffee shop and other are giving a look at the penguins.
After lunch, coffee and a little playing we want to see the reptile zone near the pic nic area, it doesn't contain crocodiles like in the other zoo as the crocs are in the area we have seen before but it has some snakes and other little reptiles. It is quite interesting but the other animals outside attract us more so we quickly give a look and we get out.
Another thing that Momo loves much is the seals, connected to the pic-nic area there is a giant pool with a glass side to see the seals when they go inside the water and a side you can watch them from up.
Also this pool is so fresh and looking at the seals is so relaxing, Momo is watching water to see the seals swimming arriving at the glass window.
The next animals are near another playground area with another castle, balances and sliders.
The puma and the cheetah are next to see in a new felines area with tigers and white tigers, lions and white lions, cheetah and jaguars :)
We have to see other animals and here in this park we can see because in the safari they had not: elefants ! This is because we have visited bot zoo parks, some animals we can see in one of them and some other we can see in the other, the Safari Park is smaller and apart from safari zone it hasn't many other animals to see, inside this one animals are much more and also there are many other birds.
Near the elefants there are hippos, rynos, giraffs and the two enormous elefants :)
It is time to make another coffee break and for Momo to take a fruit juice so while she is drinking her juice and I have my coffee we can look after the 13 gyraffs moving in the enormous zone in front of the coffee shop, rynos and hyppos we have already seen, hyppo had a baby and was so sweet :)
One of the gyraff male is really tall, a female comes near and starts to caress him with his long neck.
Near them the two elefants play with their long noses and one of them comes out of his cave and goes to the pool to drink and play :)
Inside the park there is also a little coloured train and adding some more money you can sit on it and visit the park without walking but we have preferred going here and there without the train.
Tigers and lions are next, in this new zone we can admire lion and white lions and gold and white tigers in a new space.
There is a cascade, some rocks and trees and a large garden, one of the white tigers is hidden amond the rocks, the other is walking around and playing in the pool :)
Everybody is trying to make her fotographs but is not easy because everytime she comes near she quickly turns away and camera is not able to make a good foto, I need more than half an hour to have a good one :)
Momochan starts to be tired, we have nearly seen everything but we want still to give around and see againg the animals we have liked most like giant turtles, gyraffs, birds, monkeys, lions and others. We have come in this park the other year in april but this time we
have noticed there are many babyes, many animal spaces from birds to hyppos, from owls to eagles have pink or blue ribbons telling the visitors males or females have recently born :)
We are now at the space of Suricata, curious little animals quite curious and friendly.
We notice all of a sudden people is going away, I look at my watch and see is already seven, the park is closing and in a second a voice from the loud speakers tells all the visitors are asked please to leave because the park is closing for the night so we follow the EXIT signs and we arrive at the entrance main gate in front of wich there is the parking with our car.
Momochan has amused so much and is thanking me for the nice day with a big hug and a lot of kisses, we also have a lot of time before arriving home and we can also cook something for dinner (the other time I had taken Momo to McDonalds) before putting Momo to bed, we also have time for a shower a a little tv, we are home just before 20.00 PM.
When daddy will be home again we will organize to go to Leolandia amusement park, no animals this time but a lot of pure fun :)
