Egyptian Museum

This morning Momochan and I will got o the Egyptian Museum in Turin where there is a special exhibition calledd The Immortals about ancient egiptians.
Fot tat purpose, we have waked up early, showered and dressed and gone for breakfast: I have to say breakfast was a nice sourprise except for the coffee which i guess was barley coffee, food was fresh and tasty, orange juice, bacon, hard boiledd eggs or scrambled eggs, toast, butter and various marmelades, fresh croissants, bread, various types of corn flakes, fruit salad ...
Momochann and I have tried everything (so we will not have to spend money for lunch and can wait until this evening at home).
After breakfast wee have returned to our room and have packed our belongings, we have come down to the reception to pay and have gone to the car to put the suitcases in the trunk.
The Egyptian Museum is just 20 minutes from the hotel but is best for us to go with the car so that when we come out wee are already near and can leave for home.

....
Finding a parking place has not been easy: in Turin people use car so everybody is around and tourist cannot find place easily, we had left the car in a big park but we have found a fine when we have come back because we were outside the blue lines park place .... :(
Bah ....
Anyway, Momochan has amused so much, we saw mummies (not many), whigs, baskets, ancient shoes and dresses, sarcophagus, statues and much more. Momochan was so tired after the visit and when we got out it was sunny but some rain drops fell. Before leaving the museum we passed in the Shop to see what wee could buy as a record of our visit: we found a little papyrus with an image of a pharao riding, a nice booklet about Abu Simbel temple, luckily I can speak many languages because there weren't any in italian, just french, english and spanish, I bought in spanish because is easier for me to translate, we also found some post cards about the same items we have seen inside the museum.
A group of canopic jar was really cute, they were made in alabaster and had a strange transparent colour (see foto below).
Canopic jars were used by the Ancient Egyptians during the mummification process to store and preserve the viscera of their owner for the afterlife but the viscera were not kept in a single canopic jar: each jar was reserved for specific organs.
Each god was responsible for protecting a particular organ, and was himself protected by a companion goddess. They were:
Early canopic jars were placed inside a canopic chest and buried in tombs together with the sarcophagus of the dead.

I felt a little tired too and thought a coffee would give me some energy, Momochan wanted an ice cream so we went to Grom Ice Cream Shop just a few meters outside the museum, they make biological ice cream and I have to say is really tasty, we bought raspberry for Momo and mango for me covered by whipped cream YUM YUM !
We walked a little giving a watch at the shops but Momochan said she wanted to go home because she was feeling so tired, anyway when we saw in a shop a mug of Peppa Pig she asked me if I could buy so I did.

Really as soon as we entered the car 20 minutes after, she said to me "mommy I take a nap, wake me up please when we are arrived", I believed she was joking because she never sleeps in the car during travels but this time she was serious, she fall asleep in a pair of minutes and awakened when i arrived at the highway barrier in Milano !
