sister ;)

This morning we have gone to the doctor for the 5th month ecografy.
The doctor has taken many measures and shown us every particular, liver, heart, hands, arms, legs and feet and has said the baby is a female ;)
Momoko will have a sister who will arrive end of july in the middle of the summer ;)
Meantime we have friends who have bigger kids and are continuously sending us little dresses and items for the new arriving baby, I guess I will not need to buy anything for the baby hehe

5th bday Momochan ; )))

Since a few weeks we were organizing to preapare a celebration for Momochan's birthday today, the choice is simple because on monday daddy is free from work and relatives could come on visit for dinner, so daddy has prepared a list of ingredients to prepare sushi as our relatives like sushi so much.
My duty is to prepare and cook the roasted meat and veggies and decorate the house, balloons, flags and others, order, buy and wrap in a cute paper our presents ;) So it has been established that relatives shoud arrive around 20.00.
Before that, daddy in the kitchen prepares sushi, roasted meat is already cooking with veggies in the oven, I have prepared decorations and table and Momochan is preparing designs to give to the uncles and cousins as a memory of the day and as a "thank" for the presents ;) 19:40, the bell rings, some of the relatives are already arrived, oncle, aunt and the cousin, in a half an hour time also granny and the last cousin with wife and baby arrive.

In the kitchen daddy is cooking and moving quickly to prepare sushi, gyoza, veggies and other foods.
Well this time Momochan has a tons of presents, there is a packet from granny, one from me, one from daddy, one from aunt and oncle, one from cousin and anothering from the other cousin and family, she has plenty this year HEHEHE
Momochan plays around and shows her room to the aunt and cousins while the other look around and peep in the kitchen to see what daddy is preparing. Soon is time to sit at the table and starting from salami and wrapped grissini with ham, wee jump at sushi rolls and vegetable and chicken grilled gyoza.
In the meantime I have to wash dishes to prepare for roasted meat and cake, I do not have many dishes and to make 9 people eat I have put togather two different set od dishes, tools and glasses !!!
As the dishes are clean,  daddy cut the roasted meat and put veggies while granny takes dishes to the table, Momochan is nearly full, she has eaten salami and ham and after she has had gyoza and also asked for more, she has eaten 6 !!!
So she says she doesn't like so much the arrosto, she is used to eat another type made like a big meatball but in special occasion we cannot serve ;)
The evening goes on, parents talk, Momochan plays with baby cousin Camilla who also is celebrating 6 months togather with Momo, daddy goes in and out of the kitchen, I wash dishes and organize, until comes the moment to eat the cake ;)
Table is cleaned and new dishes and high glasses for champagne are taken, inside the kitchen wee light the special 5 year old candle and take in the livingroom for Momochan to blow.
I thought Momochan was joking when she asked daddy to give her an enormous slice duble than the one I received but really she did eat it all !!!! : O GOSH !!!
After the cake Momo opens the presents, each present opened she gives the correspondant design she has prepared: granny packet contains a Peppa Pig plush which lights and sound, oncle and aunt packet contains a pink cute Peppa Pig sweater, counsin packet contain a 100 pices puzzle, my packet contains a Ikea plush, daddy packet contains a Nikon camera and the other cousin packet contains a little kichen to play "chef" ;) he starts to assemple it togather with Momochan who wants to play and pretends to serve coffee to everybody ;)
Nearly midnight, is time for "sayonara" as baby Camilla is not yet used to go bed so late. Soon everybody has gone, Momochan has totally disappeared when I relalized when I realized she hass already washed and put pijamas, jumped in our bed holding her new dreaming Peppa ;)
A kiss from granny and after while daddy takes trash downstairs and accompany granny to her car, I start cleanings. Momochan is already sleeping hard but I will need a couple of hours more to finish all.

fresh pasta salad

In Milan is really hot now and temperature quite never goes under 30 degrees, the result is that inside kindergarden kids are always so sweaten, that are really wet, every day when I am going to take Momochan I have to take home, shower and change dresses :(
The result is that obviously Momochan is not hungry at all. I tried to give her a fresh food preparing a pasta salad mixing small diced mozzarella cheese, tomatoes and fresh basilicum we have on the balcony, Momochan was not really happy about her dinner but however she managed to eat everything even if with a little effort  ;)

granny's bday ;)

Tuday is granny's birthday so we have invited her to our house for dinner. In the morning while Momochan was at school I went to buy a present and in the afternoon togather with Momochan we have bought some pasticcini, granny will pay for two pizza margherita take away ;)

At 19.00 pm with the car, we have gone to take granny home, we have passed from our preferred chinese restaurant who makes take away food and fantastic pizzas and wee have come home.
Once entered Momochan gave granny her present: in a green packet I had put some products for sunbathing and golden make up which mommy can use this summer in july when she will go seaside ;)
Evening came out nice and around midnight we accompanied granny home because it was already late for sleeping time for Momochan and after having left granny and having controlled she has entered sfely house, Momochan and I came back, we made a fresh shower, opened the windows and lighted on the mechanical fan ;)

first morning ;)

This morning Momochan awakened happy, she said she had slept sooo well in the big bed beacuse is comfortable (also because it's hot already I had opened the window by night so it was fresh).

I took the camera and snapped her some fotos she wanted to send to daddy to tell him "ohayou gozaimasu" ;)
The rest of the day went ok, she never went sad, maybe also because granny came here ;)

Yesterday afternoon daddy has called from working place to tell us today he would leave for Sardinia for work, Momochan was not happy at all.

This morning we got up at 10.00 AM and Sampei started to organize and fill the suitcase and as soon as he finished I started to clean the floor and home.

During all this time, Momochan was playing on the sofa with her books and toys but when daddy finished to pack everything he reached her on the sofa for the japanese lesson at wich Momochan is very much interested, she is learning animal names and hiragana "letters", she is trying to write and she is really good already ;)

We went to take daddy to the restaurant to reach his collegues, we had already taken his suitcase before in the morning but wee had to come back home because daddy had a special exam to do for his allergies (we discovered he is not alergic to any particular food).

When we kissed and said "take care and come back soon" Momochan changedd to sad and made a so sad face she made me sad too.

This evening at home she was happy again, played with her toys and watched Doraemon cartoons on tv but as soon as it came time to sleep she asked to wear one fo daddy's t-shirt over her pijama and she said she wanted to sleep in our big bed ;)
I gave her one of daddy shirts (light blue, her preferred colour), took her milk bottle, put herr dummy under the pillow and she took her plush cat, she asked to hear on my cell phone a lullaby and soon she fall asleep, today she hasn't done any nap because we were around with daddy.
Daddy is still working now but we hope soon he can leave and start his voyage with his collegue towards Livorno before being too tired, 320 km until the harbour are really many kilometers, hope they will stop every 100 km and have a coffee and move a little, take fresh air and go slowly and safe. Sampei has promised to call us later in the night or send a message, at 6.00 AM he and his collegue will be already on the boat which will take them to Sardinia guess, around 14.00 PM more or less ;)

CLINICA MAGIAGALLI, MILANO

Today Momochan, Sampei and I went to the Clinica Mangiagalli Hospital to meet my cousins who had had a daughter last night.

The baby is a girl, they do not have choosen her name yet, maybe Rebecca or Camilla, when we arrived, on the paper plate on the crib instead of her name was written "Girl" and her surname, her mum and dad have to choose her name we will know.

Momochan was really happy to know she had a cousin because her two first cousins live in Japan (Ryuki 4 year old and Riko 3 years old) so now even if Momochan is nearly 5 and the little cousin is baby.

My cousin have choosed the final name of the little baby, funny is the result: the name is Camilla, Momochan's second name is Camilla and both babies are born the 19th ;)

MOMOCHAN AD DAD ;)

Every sunday at home we prepare a special brakfast. I have decided to have a nice variety, to change country everytime so last week we had a french breakfast, the week before is was english, before it was italian, today is japanese, next one will be hawaiian ;)

Momochan loves this kind of breakfast, normally is me to prepare everything but today daddy has prepared the japanese one: miso soup, white rice with umeboshi powder special fo Momochan, and special egg with bacon, Momochan eated everything adn said it was all "oishii" ;)

This morning it was raining but Momochan and I went outside the same to take a walk. Granny was with us because she has come yesterday to stay some days and she wanted to profit of the situation to visit the new store Lidl which has reopened two days ago.
They have a new bread corner with everything possibile, bread, focaccia, croissants, either salted or sweet. Momochan asked for a salted croissant with ham and cheese inside, normally she doesn't like but this time she ated all and said it was really good.
Bread and everything is baked every day so is always fresh :)

japanese restaurant

Daddy has proposed to go restaurant today and have a family day. He said he knows a nice japanese restaurant where his collegues go everytime they meet to play soccer togather, they are japanese and have said this restaurant is really good, food is exactly like in Japan and, there is a peculiarity: it is the only place in Milan to serve ramen らメン and the only one to have onigiri　おにぎり WOW ! I have never found a restaurant in which to have possibility to eat onigiri, this one must be nice :) We arrive, Momochan is happy, we are not going restaurant often and she loves to eat outside also she likes japanese food. The restaurant suggest a menu in which you pay a certain sum (not much) and you can eat all you want, kids pay half. Cool ! there are a tons of things, we order korokke, chiken meatballs and rice for Momochan, soup, potato korokke for us, fried octopus, tempura, grilled なす and other foods. Momochan tastes everything and is enthusiastic about the food.Momochan is trying to learn how to use hashi はし because she remembers when we went Japan, her friend Yuna, 4 years old and a half, was already able to use and she wants to make the same. I have to say she is pretty good in using hashi, also she is not using them often but (see foto) she is already able to take food and take to her mouth without letting it falling on the plate (we had asked to the waiter if they had some easy hashi for kids and they have taken one special for Momochan). We eat many delicious foods and Momochan is really a good child, she also tastes the tea but sais she doesn't like it so much (first tea they took was genmaicha 玄米茶, a special mixture of brown rice tea with a strong particular flavour and after normal green tea with the tipical taste of fresh peas and grass).

Yesterday I assembled the new bed for Momochan but I didn't have the time to wash the new sheets and blankets (I always wash new dress, sheets and things like that before using expecially if they belong to Momo).
Momochan wantend to sleep in her new bed but I had to tell her she had to wait another day so that I could wash the new sheets and buy her the new pillow and other items.
She weeped but I guess it was just because she was really tired not really because of the bed, she had not taken her usual nap in the afternoon, I gave her milk and put to bed.This evening instead I had the new bed complete, we had new pillow, mattress protector and comforter. I put Momochan in her new bed, gave her her milk bottle, kissed her, gave her her pelouche and went away to cook my dinner.

After neither a quarter of an hour she came in the livingroom saying she was frightened and did not want to stay in her bed. I had to take her back, give her another tons of kisses and ............ put her in her usual baby bed !
I guess she has to get accustomed to the new one so I said her as she can sleep in her old one, she can take naps in the new big bed, and in the night stay her old one unless she will get accustomed to sleep in the big new bed, anyway there is no problem, she can coose everytime where to sleep, all the beds are equipped with sheets, pillows, and blankets and anycase she can also come and sleep with us in our big bed HAHAHA :O

pirates !!!

This morning we have gone shopping to the supermarket.
Recently daddy has changed again his free days so now he is home totally on sunday and has a free morning on saturday so even if is not comfortable (because everyone is going supermarket on saturday and there is a mess) we have to go shopping on this morning.

The first week of february here in Italy will be Carnival time and since now in the supermarket costumes and masks are sold, there was one last week that I really wanted to have for Momochan which reflects what she likes now: pirates !

Once home she put on her new costume and she runned around shouting and laughing, here she is :)

WEEEE !!! finally we have the new bed ! This morning, togather with mommy, after having taken Momochan to kindergarden, I have gone Ikea store to buy the new bed for Momochan :) <

Ayway we would have bought in a couple of months because Momo is growing and her baby bed is becoming too short and we also need a bedd for granny whenever she comes to us so we have bought:
nr. 1 MYDAL bunk bed frame
nr. 2 JÖMNA spring mattresses

nr. 2 VITAMINER VIMPEL duvet cover and pillow

nr. 2 DVALA fitted sheets with elastic corners

nr. 1 SUNDVIK children table in exchange on her two old red Lack squared ones. 

Once home I had to assemble the table and the bed, luckily mommy could help because it would have been impossibile all by myself, the result you can see, Momochan is very proud of her new bed and she amuses to climb on the upper bed to read, play and hide, all the room and half of the house smell like a pine forest HAHA and her room is now really cute and comfortable also for granny.
Now Momochan has the room she wanted so  much and we couldn 't give her last year, she has her private wardrobe, her bed and toys, she can play in our livingroom but whenever she wants to stay quiet and needs her space she has now her own place and her her things are all in the same place and not around the house, her bedroom is a new space where she can grow and imagine ;)

We are still making tentatifs  oarrange Momochan's bedroom, to find a solution to have the more space possibile for her to jump and play and have everything she need, also we need a new bed for her and something that granny can use when she comes to us. A solution would be a bunk bed frame so we have thought at MYDAL, maybe I can go to buy it in a couple of days with mum at Ikea nearest store.

For the moment Momchan amuses to jump on granny's temporary bed and play with her small cars on the rung I have put in front :)

Since Christamas holidays Momochan has wished to prepare meatballs with her daddy but then we had completely forgotten so today I said to Momochan she could prepare with daddy, we had to go shopping at the supermarket and she was happy she could help :)

We bought some fresh veggies and minced meat, at home while she was playing in her room, daddy washed and minced the veggies and mixed them all with meat after that we called Momochan, I dressed her with apron (the green one you see she is wearing in the foto is mine, she has one yellow but I do not know why, I cannot find it nowere, maybe it is somewhere among all the items we have in the room under the roof still to put in order someday ..... HEHEHE)

and Momochan started to prepare the meatballs while daddy prepared warm veggies and some white rice.
Momochan is so proud to have the capacity to do meatballs all by herself and she always amuses in doing that :)

Granny has come to party with us, inthe afternoon Momichan and I have gone to the shop under our house to buy some "magic wands" a kind of home little fireworks that sparkle but you can hold in your hands all the time and looks like a magic wand, Momo loves them :)

We have prepared veggies and cotechino and some starts like polenta and mushrooms, we also had salami and ham and some tartufo cheese and salami.
Momo and granny were playing with a new game we had bought to play alltogather adn Momochan was winning everytime and was loosing, Momo laughed every time, the game treated to take away some sticks from a rocket shaped thing without letting the little balls inside fall down but everytime it was my turn I was unlucky and my sticks always made balls fall !!! the winner of the game is the one who has less balls than the other.
As we have finished eating Momochan asked about lighting her magic wands, they are coloured, green, red, orange and some white, she was amusing so much but in a short time all the livingroom was full of smoke HAHAHA

Anyway, at midnight outside in the sky somewhere in the central plaza of the town, fireworks startedand Momo started to jump and shout happily, we were running from one side of the other inside the house to see the better possible, some fireworks were really enormous, other just made noise, some seemed gold fountains and some just magic sparkling dust, Momochan loved them all :)

Around one o'clock everything was finished and Momochan was tired.
I started to put everything in order and prepare milk bottle for her while daddy helped to put pijama and granny helped in the kitchen, I was tired too and I guess when everyone touched the bed, fall in a deep sleep :)
