a day in Zoom Torino ;)

This morning Momochan and I leave home to go to Turin city. We want to have a small vacation and for that purpose I have booked a hotel in the center and bought a special packet that includes tickets for biopark and a night in the hotel, brakfast included, just the time to wake up, shower, dress and take the bagage and we are on the way ;)
After 50 km more or less we have a pit stop for coffee and Momochan orders a cup of milk, guess she tries to look like me.
In a little more than 90 minutes we arrive in Turin city, is nearly midday, we have to go hotel first to take the Zoom Biopark tickets.
Really Momochan is always like she is always in a hurry, she likes the animals but what she want most is to go to the Bolder beach pool but I have said her will we go to the pool only after having seen all the biopark and in a nervous moment she burst into tears, she is tired and hot does not help much.
As soon as we enter we see a strange thing: the cemetery of the extincted animals: dodo, some tigers and lions and some kind of bears.

Before going further we find a place where to stop and eat (is nearly 13.30 PM) other people with kids are eating already their pic nics foods.
Bolder Beach is just 20 meters from there and we can see ... but wee have to see the rest of the park or we will not be able to see after so Momochan starts to run to make quick. A funny lemuri  runs quickly in front of us and start to jump from a group of people to another then jumps into the little green forest of his place, Momochan laugh amused. Theese little penguins are very small but they are very quick when they swim, they look like missiles but when they are outside of water they are very funny and walk making little jumps bouncing here and there.

After returning a second time near lemuri, we finally succeed in seeing the black monkeys, when we apssed before, the monkeys were playing in the middle of the bamboos and we could not see also they have a dark colour so that in the shadow they literally disappear.

Inside the space of the pool we cannot take anything so we discover we have a big problem: there are no cabinets to put our belongings beacuse there are too many people in the pool and cabinets have finished !!! GOSH
We walk a little around, Momochan wants to go to the pool, we have already weared our beach wear and is very hot but I absolutely cannot leave my bag and belongings but wee are finally lucky, a family is going away, they are in the changing room and we ask them if they can give us the key of the cabinet, it is ok for them so we go togather to the lady of the changing roomto tell we take the key, Momochan is soooo happy !
In a few seconds we are inside the water and is so nice, at the opposite side of the pool there is a big glass through wich we can see the penguins swim YEEEEEEEEE all the kids are laughing and jumping, Momochan amuses so much.
As we cannot take anything in the pool space is impossibile to take the camera so we have no fotos. At 17.30 more or less I start to freeze, it is still hot but not so much, my skin seems the one of the chiken so I tell Momo we have to get out and I propose her to have a ice cream, I need a big coffee ;)

As soon as we return to the cabinets and changing place I discover we have a big problem: when we came at the pool we took away our dresses and I put our underpnats and Momo t-shirt inside a sack, I had thought I had taken some fresh changing but instead I left in the car so now Momochan does not have any underpants nor t-shirt and me, I dont have undergarment either so we have to dry a little the swimsuit and wear again, I have my short pants and Momo either, I give her my little dress and make a knot to make it shorter, when wee will reach the car I will give her a fresh t-shirt from the suitcase :)
Now that we have solved the situation Momochan is happy, we go to the coffee corner and I buy a coffee and an ice cream for her, we also meet new possibile friends and togather with the other kids Momochan runs on the meadow after the peacocks ;)
Park is closing so we get out and we direct to the car, I open the trunk and get Momichan a fresh t-shirt so I can have my dress again, we have to go McDonalds and Momo is happy because she loves the nuggets and the fries.
We are tired and as the McDonalds is near the hotel in 30 minutes we are already back in the room, we make a shower and put the pijamas, I light the tv on and let Momochan watch cartoons but in a few seconds she call me urgently: maybe she hass eaten too much or she is tootired or maybe is the air conditioned in the hotel, I do not know but Momochan throws the dinner up ..... poor baby !
I wash her face and give her her her plush cat, put again inside the bed and in a few moments she fall asleep, tomorrow we have to go to the Egyptian Museum and we we'll have breakfast in the hotel before ;)

eating outside ;)

Since a couple of years I was trying to organize my balcony with flowers and plants, a beach umbrella, a couple of beach chair for the afternoon to read or play or take sun and a table to eat ;)
Today after finishing Ikea activities, we went down at the first level of the store to search for the TARNO table, we were lucky and we found the table so we bought ;)
Once home I cleaned the balcony outside and after I put the new table and chairs, Momochan experimented immediately carring out paper and felt pens while I was inside in the kitchen preparing the meal and giving a look outside at her.
When pasta with ragout was ready, I prepared the table outside while Momochan went in her room to put away her felt pens and paper.
Guess she loved the new table, the new experience of eating outside even if with a tiny table, a candle for light and our fresh herbs smelling around which she loves to give water and care ;)

ikea - decorating a paper lamp

Today we went to Ikea store for the second activity of the month: decorating a paper lamp with colours and fabrics.

Momochan was happy about this activity and she started as soon as we arrived at the second floor of the store, she literally runned ;)

We took a paper lamp and we seat at a table where there weere already colours, glue and pices of fabrics of many colours.

I took a lamp too and we started to decorate: first we attached with the glue some stars, flowers and leaves of different colours cut from some textiles and after we took some paintings: red, green, blue and yellow and we started to paint the lamp.
The result is what you see here under, Momochan was really satisfied of her job and as soon as we arrived home I hanged each lamp in a room: the one I made is now in the livingroom and the other I hanged in Momochan's room, sooo cute ;)

Since we cannot go vacation to seaside or mountains or elsewhere this year, I have organized for Momochan a special two-days-trip to Turin.
The idea is to take her to some places to see animals, take a bath in a swimming pool as it will be really warm, go to see some interesting place, eating sandwiches and chicken nuggets, realx, see new things, learn something, see something new, make something new different from usual.
Giving a look at internet I found a cute solution that can contain all of this:

Zoom Torino biopark is a cute animal park where Momochan can admire animals such as tigers, owls, eagles, gorillas, flamingoes, monkeys and many others, relax giving a look at Bolder Beach penguins and bath in the big swimming pool (not seaside but something really similar with white carribean sand shore and blue water), eating at McDonald's her favourite Happy Meal, sleeping in an nearest hotel for the night (she loves hotels and restaurants and of course she loves vacation and new places), and the day after going to visit the Egiptian Museum in the center of Turin city, since she has studied in kindergarden the Verdi's "Aida" so that she can give a look at real egyptian mummies, pharaos and many ancient items and way of living so she can tell in september to her mates and maybe have a cute book to read and take school ;)
We will have to prepare a small Ikea suitcase (trolley) a dress change for Momochan and I, swimmsuit for both for Bolder Beach and a big towel, toiletries, her plush cat, bottle and dummy (she doesn not use any more but she still needs under the pillow)

Momochan loves this strange hair, she laughs so much and she is really funnybut cute, what do you think ?

ikea: salt dough

Today in Ikea store has started a serie of activities for kids that will go on all the month.
The activity for today and tomorrow (every week-end saturday and sundary afternoon) is salt dough.

Here is the calendar:
3-4 aug - SALT DOUGH
10-11 aug - FABRICS
17-18 aug - RECYCLING
24-25 aug - SCAVENGER HUNT
31-1 sept - CULTIVATING A SMALL VEGGIES GARDEN

Momochan loves salted dough, she already experienced at kindergarden many times, they usually do to make some X'Mas work or something for special days so she already knew what to do, in add she always plays with PlayDough at home.
After having made many figures like bears, elks, hedgehogs, squirrels, snails and bear we put everything on a paper tray with some flour not to attach them and we went away, wandering inside the store to see the novelties, Momochan played here and there and after she was tired and asked to go home.
She made showeer while I started to bake the shapes in the oven: 50 degress for 2 hours ... with this hot weather is not so nice but wee managed to cook them anyway and opened the kitchen window to change air, Momochan was satisfied about the day ;)
