First Pach

Momichan has fallen down from our bed, she was playing and simply falled down before I could reach her, like a fish jumping in the waterm. She has done nothing really, the carpet was soft and thik but has frightened a little so I thought to put her a patch like the ones she likes from Ikea, I choosed one big and pink with birds, immediately she stop crying and started to laugh.

Momichan at home

Momichan loves looking the images of her book with the pages made of thick paper, se has one telling the story about the "Crocodile, what sound does he makes ?" she gets crazy about it, another with Trylly and the fayries and attached magic writing pad and anothe about Ducks which has in a corner a botton to push to hear duck sound, she also gets crazy about that one, push duck botton all day long :)

Driving Car (Centenario Park)

Momichan loves driving small cars, here she is at Centenario Park inside a small car moving the weel, he does not understand still that she has to move feet to move the car but she enjoys sitting inside and mov the wheel :)

Baby Phone

Having a small child a baby phone is the best thing.
Seems stupid but when Momichan is in he bed I have many things to do and even if our house is just 85 square meters at the moment, can happe I o not hear her, expecially if I am in the kitchen washing dishes so we decided it was best to buy this item I can easily carry everywhere and also when we visit granny and Momichan sleeps at the first floor, we can seat on the sofa downstairs and with this ittle radio I can hear every movement or cry she does.

Also going Ikea and having a baby, as we are changing house and have the possibility to organize it secure for a baby, we have the idea to buy other items hoping never to use but that in case can b very useful.

Blanket to use to suffocate a fire, gas relevator, estintore and other little things that will make us feel better "just in case" :)

balance (Centenario Park)

After her usual nap, Momichan and I were ready to go to Centenario Park.

This morning we had gone to supermarket to buy some food and as they had so many baby discounted items, I bought Momichan a new hat and new shoes (the ones she weares in the foto).

Centenario Park is just 30 meters near were will go living before june, (we already bought the windows YEEEE) there is a coffee shop where you can have coffee or cappuccino, ice cream or juices for kids, there is a bathroom with a special corner organized to change nappies to babies and a space in front of the shop with see-saws and slides, also you can find many little bicicles, trycicles and little baby cars that kids can use everytime they want free, there are also small ponds in which live fishes and ducks and in the park 16000 square meters big, there is also a zone for gimnastic training.

This time we went to the park with a friend, I had called her home to see if she was in, because I wanted to give her some of the dresses Momichan is not wearing anymore because they are small now, this friend lives just in front of the Park and she has had a baby just a month ago so we reached her and she got down with her crib and the baby and we walked togather inside the park.

There was still sun, we went to the coffee shop and Momichan saw the little car and trycyles and got inside happily, then we showed her the slides and she runned there Momichan sat inside the small car and got crazy about the wheel, smiled and shouted, she was the happiest baby ever :)

During summer the park is full of people doing barbecues, playing soccer, sun tanning ... in this season there are the first kids going there with small bikes accompanied by parents or grandparents, someone seated in front of the coffee shop chatting and sometimes someone is running through the park with a walkman radio.

Momochan loves the balance, this is the second time this year she goes to the balance, last time was last summer and she was just 8 months. Today she was the happies kid ever again, it was sunny and quite warm even if int he park kids hav already gone away home and we were lonely but she was happy beause she had toys and balance all for her ^^

Soon got dark and humid so we had to go. It was difficult to convince Momichan to leave the park, she was enthusiast about the little car and she didn't want to leave, I had to reach her two times to take her away promising that if tomorrow she sleeps just after lunch and awakes befor 4.00 PM we can come again and we can find also other kids.

She seemed to be convinced and finally we got away. We went to my mum's house to say hello and to change nappy to Momichan and after we went definitely home to cook dinner. Recently Momichan not eating somuch but this evening I cooked her a special green pasta, animal shaped with cheese and ham, she seemed to like because she eated all ^^

I was sourprised but happy, she was very clever, after I prepared her milk bottle for the night and we went to bathroom to make shower and put a fresh nappy and pijama ^^

Soft Chair

Everytime Momichan gets home when we have been out, first thing she does is going in front of the tv cupboard and light the tv on, she plays withher toys and listen to the programs and if she ears some cute jingle she start to dance (I am carefoul to choose programs she can see without any problem and anyway she just looks tv for less than 10 minutes)

Problem was that if se gets interested in something, some spot for food for example, she goes too near the tv set so we decided it was best to buy her a place to seat all for her.
The result is she loves her new "place" and now whenever she want to look at some books or give a glance at tv she seats there, even when she drinks from her bottle ^^ WOW :)

French Markets

These three days (friday, saturday and sunday) in our little town there is a little french market, expositions of wines, crispy breads "baguettes", "pain au chocolat" and patiserie, soap, spices, jewels, napkins, cheese, salami and much more coming from Bretagne the side of France in the north west.
Walking through is exactly like being there, the tipical smell of the soaps (lime, lemon, pompelmuss, jasmin, lavender and thousand more) the spices and precious salt fill the air of the tipical odour you can feel going there; the dozn cheese from cow, goat and sheeps are wonderful to taste, apple cider and wines, goose patè and the crispy "baguettes" you can buy warm cooked uner your eyes, the tipical french bread are in the air making everyone run to buy some ^^

We bought some baguettes and pain au chocolat, (image on the left) some cheese, a pair of typical towels round and with the image of lavender and the word "bretagne" on it, we will use one fot the kitchen and one for Momochan, a napkin for the new house and a pair of soap.

Seems nothing particular but the soap you can buy in France and in theese markets have a particular smell that only french soap have, they sell many types, olive, flowers scent, fruits scent (lemon, lime, pompelmuss, ...), wherever you walk in France expecially at seaside places the smell you will ever remember are jut a few: a mix of lavender, honey and wax, soap, garlic and butter, and the crispy smell of baguettes. I have never found a place in which you can remember so particular smell, thinking of Italy or any of the european country, I cannot think at nothing particular.

Momichan walked around curious followed by daddy and me attracted by the coloured spices, curry, mixtures for spaghetti, strange salts (there was one pink with petals of tiny roses and another completely black with great cristals) peppers, mixtures of tea, the smell of the soaps and the coloured and smelly straw bags and hats, she ran and jumped here and there happy to taste fresh baguette and tiny pieces of cheese, we bought some brioche for breakfast and she tasted with us, lovely taste of butter and chocolate that melts in your mouth, we also bought a baguette and a piece of chese for mum and we went to her house to give her before coming home for lunch.

Strangely and luckily, Momichan despite all pieces of cheese and bread was hungry enough to eat her piece of roasted meat and brussel sprouts (I had put in the oven before going out this morning and programmed so that the oven cooked while we were out, oh what a wonderful invention !) 

After the meal I gave her her little milk bottle, dressed her with her sleep bag and put to bed, she fall asleep immediately.

Cute about this, is that this i the first year but the french sellers said they all will come back next year ! WEEEEEEE so we will have possibility to buy again french foods and some other cute things ^^
As they say then, " a bientot" :)

Japanese Baby Food

I have always been curious about what japanese babies eat during weaning and so I have made some research on the web. We found theese images, I wonder if in case I would cook exactly the same food Momichan would eat. If you want to see other foods just click on this site ^^

Recently Momichan is not eating so much and everytime is lunch o dinner time is an agony, luckily she still has her nap after lunch time from 2.00 until 4.00 PM sometimes, normally she just sleeps one hour.

Theese foods seems deliciuos and complete, Momichan does not eat veggies at the moment and I do not know what to invent to make her eat something good and healthy, she just loves plain hot dogs and ham burgers, no pasta but just white rice sometimes and of course her rice crackers by Hipp.

The Crocodile

A few days ago arrived a book for Momichan with a sourprise: a inflatable gummy crocodile ! You know, the ones that you blow air inside and use at the sea side between the waves, well Momichan uses it in the bathtub. She amuses herself so much and after she goes to bed and sleeps so well, guess she dreams about the croco and the bathtub, sometimes she laughs ^^

Sunglasses

Momichan now own a pair of sunglasses.

A pair of weeks ago we were at Chicco Store and there were discounts so thinking of a future travel this summer to the sea side we thought it was best for Momichan to have a pair of sun glasses so that she can save her little eyes from the sun rays and here she is today wearing glasses at home for the first time. She was funny, she looked at herself into the mirror and laughed.

Unfortunately when we gout of house sun has gone away so we could not use the glasses but Momichan did not seem to care about.

We went to granny and Momi walked everywhere, she amuses walking up the stairs, guess as soon as she will live there she will get crazy about as she will haveto do every day two times or more a day.

Pogy

Since she was 7 months old Momichan I have stopped using the Pogy crib because she loves it but it is impossible to keep her inside as she loves to roll out instantly. This is the reason why I did not use it anymore, everytime I wanted to put Momi to bed she started to laugh and play so I had to put away and use her normal bed also for the after lunch nap.

This days I got the Pogy out because when I put Momi to bed, (she has some pelouches to play inside her bed before falling asleep), she has taken the abitude of throwing them all out on the pavement and tis get me to nerves also I have cnstantly to collect them to put in the bed again searching them for all the room so I use the Pogy for her toys, I put it in the middle of her and my bed so that if she wants, she can throw toys inside and now we do not have problems anymore, she loves it and throws toys only inside it but, this is magic, since I use the Pogyfor this, she has nearly stopped to throw things outside the bed ! WOW !
During the day the Pogy stays near the closet and recently she loves to get inside and play with her toys, she is so funny.

Countdown ...

Finally countdown has started to begin the works for the new house and we have started to search the best prices for electricians, windows, furniture and others. We have to check when actually works can start and if we have all permissions, then we will have to coordinate the various technicians and hope they can do the job in short time.

The idea is to trasform the upper part of mum's house in a small apartment enlarging it including one of the two existing balconies transforming it from 35 to 45 square meters. The upper part now is composed by a small bathroom and two bedrooms my sista and I used when we ere living with parents.

House will be so small but lovely and precious like a jewel, we will have to buy from Ikea bathroom furniture, the kitchen, a cupboard for shoes and night table for the sleeping room. All pavements will be covered by moquette so that I will not have to wash every day and will spare a lot of time, there will be a sleeping room we will use for us and Momichan and after for Momichan alone when she will be bigger, a bathroom and a living room/kitchen/bedroom thanks to our sleeping sofa.

We have already contacted some friends who have made a project and have given us some prices and best of all, have accept to be paid long term in small rates, now we just have to wait until first week of march hoping works can start immediately, incase with a little bit of luck we will have possibilityto move with our old furiniture before middle april ... just cross fingers .... just cross fingers ....

Carnevale

In Italy soon will be Carnival but already kids are going around with their costumes of various carachters.

We have two costumes for Momichan, one of them, Pikachu, has been sent from granny from Japan.

Here is Momichan with the Lion King one.

Momichan is happy when she can dress like Lion King or Pikachu, so happy that she never want to take the costume away HAHA especially Pikachu.

Theese days here s snowing and is really cold but Momichan amuses so much in taking a walk and observing the snow not much convinced about what it is and the use she can do, she loves catching the flakes falling and every night befor sleeping she wants to look outside the window to see if other snow is coming.

Momichan And Snow

This morning Momichan and I went to the supermarket and as yesterday was snowing, today everythin g was covered by a soft mantle of snow. Momichan was curious about but she walked slowly as to prove the snow under her shoes, she also fall and touched the soft and cold snow.

In Milan Is Snowing !

This morning we got up with a sourprise: it was snowing and snow was littl by little covering everywhere with white soft cold flakes. We had to go out so we dressed warm and put Momichan a warm and soft feather jacket and a plastic rain berret so that she was perfect.

After lunch, poor daddy went to work with the bicicle as ever thought it was still snowing hard.

At 16.40 PM Momichan is still sleeping and snow is still coming down very hard, flakes are enormous, I think we will stay home and play, we will go to giostra tomorrow.

Elk

Momichan wakes up in the morning and gets down from the bed by herself, knocks at the room door to make us understand she wants to go out in the livingroom and once there she seats on her Ikea elk and bounce ^^

Allerhand Combi Cooler

The Allerhand Combi Cooler is a supercute light bag to carry your essentials and of course a pair of nappies, cream and towel and a complete set of food ad snacks for all day long inside the special thermo pocket, perfect to go to the park being sure to have something to change your baby, his foods, your handy, keys and ... coins for your coffee ? HAHA

For us is a superbag we can use to go to park 30 meters near home when is not necessary to take other stuff and carry normal heavy baby bag. This Combi Cooler I can hang to the stroller or in case we just have a small walk, just hold in one hand or or my shoulder, we have all we need for a afternoon ouside but near home ^^

Going Ikea

Somedtimes when we are all togather we go visit Ikea store and sometimes we eat there. Momichan always amuses going there, she is curious and loves to play wherever she is, jumping here and there and using all toys exactly as home.

Also she likes to have snack sometimes with wiener hot dog, she gets crazy about, I take swedish coffe and eventually  piece of cake and she eats an hot dog all by herself  ^^

Here she is playing "hide and seek" hiding in a TROFAST cupboard near her father.

Present From Japan

A package arrived today while we were preparing lunch. Hubby went down to take it fromt the caretaker and came up smiling: "we have received a package from Japan, my mum sent" said he.
We immediately sat down on the sofa curious and opened it, it was full of presents for Momichan. Granny had bought pink sweaters, a special pink Hallo Kitty cup to drink, a yellow Pichachu dress, a cute Hallo Kitty red kimono (foto below) set we will use this summer, some hats she made herself knitting (she made a couple in white, one for me and one for baby exactly the same) and two pink jackets, one with sleeves and the other not. All dresses are big enough for Momichan to be used until 3 years old ^^

We made immediately Momichan get dressed with Pichachu and she smiled happily, we gave her the special Kitty cup with juice inside and she started to walk around drinking and dancing ^^
The special cup as you can see int he foto has two different covers depending from the age of the child, te one I put is suitable for babies 1 year old, the other with the straw is better for older childs eventually 2 year old ones.

Momichan does not yet know anything about her japnese granny and auntie, oncle and cousin Ryuki, maybe when she will be bigger we will show he fotos of them and will explain who they are, but you know kids only understand relationships etween people they see every day but w hope anyway to go again to Japan as soon as she will be big enought to support a 20 hours travel to reach them maybe when she will be at least three years old, also I want to see my nephew Ryuki and his brother or sister that will arrive this summer, mummy is still expecting, hope se will tel us soon if will be a boy or a girl ^^

We are also sending a big package to Japan with presents for everyone, granny, auntie, oncle, little Ryuki and even for his brother or sister, I ven put a bottle in the package, some dresses, sweets, scarfs and gloves, a pair of soft blankets for the kids, some toys and a carillon (ikea barnslig fagel) ^^

Momichan didn't even want to take her Pikachu dress away so she had lunch wearing it ^^

The "Giostra"

(look at Momichan little shadow here on the lower left corner, she was running to the carousel amazed by the lights and music, she was so sweet)

There is a new carousel in the main plaza in our town, Momichan loves to go.

Owners are two brothers who exchange turns and carousel, in automn there is the smaller brother with a train and now there is the big brother with this new closed carousel so that mums can seat waiting for their kids without freezing.

Between the various attraction there is a little car Momichan loves because is similar to the one she always wants to drive when we go to Lugano in Switzerland inside the mall.
Yesteray I took Momichan to the carousel and she made 5 tours then we had to go, she didn't seem to have amused anyway but we came back, we have to pass through the plaza to go home, she saw the carousel again and she bursted into tears because she wanted to go again so I had to let her do another tour after which we went definitely home.

Here is Momichan on the Ferrari, she loves it :) she doesn't like any on which she cannot move the wheel so she doesn't like horses or the Cenerentola pumpkin (you can see behind her) but she likes car, areoplanes, fire trucks and similars :)

So Cold Going Out

Those days Italy is so cold so I dressed Momichan again with her big "tutone" so that she can remain warm, I added her blue berret fantastic because covers ears so well and the eyein the front make Momi laugh so much.
Here she is, finishing drinking her pera juice, ready to go out.
